Be one of the TEN lucky recipients to get a $500 Milady RISE Scholarship, administered by the Professional Beauty Association. This scholarship is exclusive for Milady RISE-certified individuals, who understand the impact they're able to make for clients, the community, and the world.

What is the Milady RISE Scholarship?

Your chance to receive a $500 scholarship...

Our job is to support you on your journey in the beauty & wellness industry by providing all things that can help you achieve your dreams. That's why Milady is proud to sponsor a semi-annual scholarship for both students currently enrolled in school, as well as active licensed professionals.

A total of ten (10), $500 recipients will be selected by the Professional Beauty Association—five for students currently enrolled in school, and five for beauty/wellness professionals for industry-related continuing education.

Am I Eligible?


Must be Milady RISE Certified in Client Well-Being & Safety (students at Milady RISE Partner Schools get free access).

Must be currently enrolled in school (and in good standing) or a licensed professional currently working as a beauty/wellness professional.

Must be in the fields of: Cosmetology, Nail Tech, Barbering, Esthetics, or Massage.

Must complete the application in its entirety.

Scholarship Details and Deadlines

March 1, 2024 - May 15, 2024: Application is open and accepting applicants.

May 15, 2024: Application period closes.

May 31, 2024: Recipients will be chosen and notified via email by the Professional Beauty Association.

  • What are the deadlines of the Milady RISE Scholarship?

    Application Opens: March 1, 2024

    All Applicants are notified by the Professional Beauty Association as to the status of their application: May 31, 2024

  • Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?

    You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
    • Must be Milady RISE Certified in Client Well-Being & Safety (students at Milady RISE Partner schools get free access)
    • Must be currently enrolled in school (and in good standing) or a licensed professional currently working as a beauty/wellness professional
    • Must be a Cosmetology, Nail Tech, Barbering, Esthetics, and Massage student or licensed professional
    • Must complete the application in its entirety

  • How many applicants will be awarded the scholarship?

    A total of ten (10) - $500 recipients will be selected by the Professional Beauty Association - five for students currently enrolled in school, and five for beauty/wellness professionals for industry-related continuing education.

  • Once awarded, when do the scholarship funds need to be used?

    Scholarship funds awarded must be used within six months of being awarded.

  • How do I become a Milady RISE Partner School?

    You must be Milady RISE Certified in Client Well-Being & Safety to be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Milady RISE Partner Schools can get this certification FREE for all of their students. Apply to become a partner school, here.

  • How do I become Milady RISE Certified in Client Well-Being & Safety?

    The Milady RISE Certification in Client Well-Being & Safety is a certification that covers 3 critical topics: Human Trafficking Awareness, Domestic Abuse Awareness, and Practical Infection Control. Purchase the course, complete all three courses, and you'll be Milady RISE Certified.
